Q: How many bloggers are in the database right now?
A: As of July 29, 2010 there are: 2212 blogs in our database.

Q: What does the site look like?
A: Search | Search Results Screen 1 | Search Results Screen 2 | Search Results Screen 3

Q: Can I export the list?
A: Yes, the list can be exported into a variety of formats including Excel.

Q: What if I need additional bloggers?
A: With the purchase of a one-year subscription, we will put one custom list together including additional research into specific industries, geographies, etc. Additional lists can be purchased.

Q: Sigh, I just don’t have time to do interact with bloggers. But I know I need to. Can you help?
A: Absolutely. We can run your blog tour from soup to nuts (er, from identifying the bloggers to measuring the results). Call us for pricing.

Q: Do you offer any discounts for in-house vs. agency PR people? Or non-profits?
A: Currently, we offer two tiers of pricing: one-time access for $750 or a 12-month subscription for $1,500. We do run specials throughout the year. E-mail us to be notified. Non-profits are eligible for special pricing: $600 for one-time access and a year-subscription for $1,200.

Q: Can we see a demo?
A: Unfortunately, there is no way for us to parcel out the data, but there is a sample entry, as well as a view of our search function. An example of the database is above.

Q: If I purchase the one-time access and then want to buy the year subscription, can you use my original purchase as a deposit?
A: We will convert your one-time access into a year-long subscription if you decide to make that switch within 30 days of the original purchase.

Q: I'm a blogger, how do I join your list?
A: It’s simple; take our short survey and you’ll be included.

Q: Why, as a blogger, should I be comfortable giving you my information? Aren't I just going to get spam pitches?
A: Joining Blogger Black Book should actually lessen the amount of spam you receive. Subscribers of our service are looking to build relationships with you and you can rest assured knowing we’re providing marketers with the information you want them to have, including the topics you want to cover and your preferences for how you’d like to be contacted.

Q: Where did this idea come from?
A: After putting together quite a few blog tours for clients of their respective agencies, co-founders Kristi Mendez and Megan Licursi found themselves with a wealth of information on bloggers. There is a lot of legwork that goes into a blog tour so we knew other PR practitioners could benefit and we knew that the detailed information we gathered would help ensure bloggers received only the communications they wanted.

Q: Do you include their Twitter information and other contact details?
A: If a blogger provides their Twitter handle, we include it. Beyond e-mail addresses, all contact information provided is at the sole discretion of the blogger.
